Deadline extended: DGK TRAVEL GRANTS TO IUCr 24, 2017, Hyderabad

The DGK issues travel grants for young scientists who actively participated with student status at the 24th Congress and General Assembly of the International Union of Crystallography in Hyderabad, India, 21–28 August 2017. Up to 10 grants of 600,- € each will be given to graduate or postgraduate student crystallographers at a German university of scientific institution.
Please send your application (in German or English) not later than March 1, 2017 to the DGK chairwoman, Prof. Dr. Susan Schorr, (Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin für Materialien und Energie (HZB), Department Structure and Dynamics of Energy Materials (EM-ASD), Hahn-Meitner-Platz 1, 14109 Berlin; e-mail: susan.schorr[at]helmholtz-berlin.de).
Your application should include:

• Cover letter with motivation (1 page)
• Short CV
• Proof of student status
• Abstract submitted to the conference and proof of submission
• Brief budget-plan
• Supporting statement (letter) of a Professor or a Senior Scientist at a university or public research institution

Grants will be issued subject to the quality of the application, acceptance of the conference contribution, and the available funds. It is expected that the grantees submit a report of the conference for publication in the organs of the DGK.
