The Student Award of the German Society for Crystallography (DGK) is intended to recognize outstanding academic achievements (e.g. Bachelor’s, Master’s, diploma theses, state examinations or comparable project work) in which methods and aspects of crystallography have been successfully applied. The prize will be awarded at the honorary evening of the 34th annual conference of the DGK in Hanover.

It consists of a certificate, funding for participation in the annual conference including the conference dinner and payment of travel expenses in accordance with the Federal Travel Expenses Act up to a maximum of 500 euros and a three-year membership of the DGK. The prize is intended to help increase the attractiveness of crystallography, particularly among students, and to promote young scientists in the field of crystallography.

We cordially invite you to propose suitable candidates. Please also forward this announcement to your colleagues. All members of the DGK, members of related and associated societies and other interested scientists are eligible to nominate candidates.
